your love is like a fire wall
beautiful at the sight
but almost impossible to feel
i cant keep on watching forever
can you not lower your defenses
not only for me
or are you afraid that i will only break your inner self
but how do you not know that i am afraid of the same
why do you not understand that myself bringing down my wall of flames
is not enough to show you that i am willing to try to make this last forever
we have both had our share of heart breaks
but it is our spirit and our courage
to get back on the horse when we fall and scrape and bruise ourselves
that is keeping us going
do you not see what we have in common
that we both wish to rebuild our walls
to find someone to restitch our broken hearts
to have our scars heal
and to love once more by the one who wishes the very same

Night comes and night goes

To all the ones I call a friend

You’ve always been there hand to hand

From far away to right next door

You’re always there and that’s for sure

We’ve had our share of thunderstorms

But we are smart enough to let it go

From the mountains high to the rocky shore

I’m glad to have you at my door

The woods are like a bird flying high in the sky

Like a kiss on the cheek

Like the light pitter patter of rain on the window

Like the ocean waves rising and falling

Like rare gem stones on the sides of mountains

Like the news of a baby girl on her way

Like the play of kittens in the new days of spring

It is more precious than your friends or money

More beautiful than the first sight of new eyes

More rare than a blue diamond

All of this beauty around

Without even notice

But now animals have come

Destroying the beauty

Destroying everything it worked for

Destroying the peace

Poof

It is gone

All gone

Gone like the wind

Gone like a bat in the night sky

Except for one

What is cold and smooth as a green summer's  leaf

or round and curved like a red loved heart

How is one to describe the color of a blood stained tree

after a battle of fate

What is cold, rough, and hard as a lonely rock in the shade

How is one to tell the color of a sun beam reaching

reaching ever so slightly through the gray clouds of the evening sky

Or the taste of a newly bloomed spring flower's sweet smell

How is one to describe the ever so delicate features of

The Apple

Shadows multiply

As I shower over them

They chase after me

Jumping at my feet

I must soar above the sky

They try to reach me

They pull me down

Quickly I am on my feet

On the dark earth floor

Alone with no one

No one there to hear me scream

Except the shadows

They are always there

Watching looking and waiting

Patiently they wait

 Wait for the right time

To tell me all the secrets

The secrets of night

Of all their knowledge

Everything that they have seen

And what they have heard

Patiently they stay

Laying still across my face

Hush until they speak

Sun rays shining down from the evening sky

Birds flying around, singing their songs

Clouds blowing in the breezy sky

Orange beams light the earth

As the sun falls

The moon rises

Pushing the daylight down

Showing off its bright vibrant lights

Birds of the night soaring though the cold air

The world is silver

The world is dark

Beauty streaks, light shows

Not of the sun

But of the seeing eyes of night

Of the legendary, wonderful, amazing

Stars

Known for friendship to the moon

Everywhere you look

There they are

The friends of night

Shining bright

Lighting up where the moon cannot

Touching the heavens

Whispering

Telling of the future and of the past

All you have to do

Is listen

Listen deeply and listen truly

Listen to what they want to tell you

Slow down

Turn toward the light of where darkness should be
